Seagulls Destroyed Our Boat

Hi John -

Take a ride down to the boat in Buick (East Blvd all way down)- I changed and left at 5:40. Dad said the seagulls destroyed our boat. I expect a real mess - come see us there.

Mom

I showed up to where the boat is docked, to find my mother on her hands and knees scrubbing fish guts off the boat and my father blasting the sides of it with a hose. Turns out some seagulls sat on the front of the boat and feasted on a huge fish. My Mom was FURIOUS! I was expecting to show up to a sunken ship - "destroyed" might have been the wrong word choice here . . . but that's my Mom: chock full of dramatic exaggerations! And was it really necessary to state the exact time she changed and left? I'm glad she let me know she changed, I was really nervous that she might be cleaning guts in her nice work clothes!
